  1. Rachael! We should totally row octuples. That would be sweet. What boat is that? And who knew our Provost was a rower?? Wow.

  2. This boat happened to be rented from BU Women's Rowing for CPRA Learn to Row. CPRA (The Central Pennsylvania Rowing Association) just purchased an octuple from Bucknell and is interested in outfitting one of their eights with octuple riggers. Perhaps that means we will get a shot at rowing it!

Octuples are a lot of fun, but it is very challenging to get eight people and sixteen oars to move as one. We used it in our Learn to Row sessions because they are very stable and are easier to coach than keeping track of multiple smaller boats.
